Executive Retail Planning & Operations
Job Purpose
The Executive – Retail Planning & Operations is responsible for supporting efficient retail operations and driving sales performance through effective planning, execution, inventory management, and in store executions. The role also involves coordinating with cross functional teams, implementing business initiatives, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing customer experience within the FMCG retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee retail sales operations across all locations and ensure smooth functioning.
- Maintain accurate sales, stock, and operational records across all retail locations.
- Monitor stock levels, replenishment cycles, and lead times to ensure availability and minimize stock outs.
- Analyse sales and inventory data to generate insights for demand forecasting and planning.
- Coordinate with supply chain team for timely stock dispatch and replenishment.
- Execute trade marketing initiatives, including promotions, branding, and merchandising, in coordination with Marketing team.
- Ensure compliance with pricing, promotions, and brand guidelines across all retail touchpoints.
- Define and implement retail business SOPs and operational standards to improve business efficiency.
- Establish and monitor turnaround times (TATs) for key retail business processes in coordination with marketing, supply chain, finance, and quality teams.
- Coordinate with internal teams including, supply chain, quality and finance for production, operations, and timely payments.
- Support onboarding and training of retail staff to ensure effective execution at all levels.
- Conduct regular market visits to evaluate sales performance, market trends, and overall execution.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field.
Experience
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in sales, sales operations, or trade marketing.
- Prior experience within FMCG industry, particularly in food category, is a plus.
